Using version 1.9.5 RC1 (Date: 10/5/2010).

Found that the forum correctly shows the postings even if we switch the editor on the fly. Say, we used one editor to post our messages, then switched the editor in the confguration and opened the same messages. That works just great!

But here is the problem. If we want to quote the existing message written with another editor the current editor shows all the codes including the tags using by the previous editor. And there is no way around just to delete these tags manually.

Solution - what if we delete these tags or better convert them to the ones using by the current editor? The comparison list should not be very long and complicated, or maybe I'm wrong. But that would help us a lot if we want to change the editor and keep seeing all the mesages whatever was used to post them.

If you mean the hml tags, this is fixed in 1.9.5.5 Final. all html tags are wiped out when using an BB Code Editor and edit a message that contains html, it will also converts the html back to bbcodes.
