Anyone want to take a stab at this one? I've been wrestling with integrating YAF into a site that I'm creating. It is a 3.5 site, with YAF in a subfolder: "/Forums"

My web.config is basically the recommended 3.5 web.config from YAF. Using their providers. I placed a simple CreateUserWizard control on my page (and I previously tested it to work fine with MS membership profile), and go through the signup process. Now, I have a separate table for some other info I'm collecting at signup, so I have an event I'm handling upon CreateUser event fire.

When this event is hit, it does seem like a GUID is being generated (which tells me the user is being created), but when I go check the yaf_user table, it's completely empty. I know the connection string in db.config is correct.

Any ideas?

The CreateUser event fires before a user is created. The CreatedUser event fires after.

Sorry, "CreatedUser"

Either way, it's the event firing after the user is created, otherwise I wouldn't have a GUID. Isn't that right? I could be off base, but I think I do have that part correct.

.net membership users aren't loaded into YAF until that user visits the forum for the first time. I think that's what you're seeing.
