I am trying to find the log file or table where exception and info logging is being done in YAF.
Is it some logging framework or inbuilt .Net logging?

For example, when an error happens in YAF, user sees the Error.aspx, but is there any logging of the error being done? I need to view errors on a regular basis to check if the site is running well.

All errors are logged to the event log table. And can be viewed from within the admin interface.

Or you go directly to the windows event log.

Can I also have the exception details emailed to a list of email addresses whenever an exception occurs?

No such option does not exist.

Exception emails are a good idea since the exception becomes more noticed and visible, unlike parsing manually a text file or table of logs.

I have not tried, but I will plugin the ELMAH logging library. If it works, then I would prefer to turn off yaf's inbuilt logging.

Is there a way to turn yaf logging off?

Yes you can completely disable logging in yaf in the Host Settings in the Logs tab
