Hi there,

sorry if this is a super newbie question, but how do I enter links in a post that do not open a new tab in the browser - or how do I modify the forum default behaviour for links.

To explain - I have links in posts that link to other sections of the forum e.g.

>>Downloads<<

Many thanks

Richard

You can change the behavoir for all links in posts in the Host Settings. Host -> Host Settings -> Display -> "Show Links in New Window" (If this is checked, links in messages will open in a new window).

tha_watcha,

Thats great thanks...

Can I somehow differentiate between internal and external links?

I would like external links to open in a new tab, but internal links (to another post/topic say) to open in teh same window.

Thanks again

Richrd

No currently thats not possibly.

But we could change the special topic and post link bbcodes..

[topic=14359]topic test link[/topic]

[post=54662]message test link[/post]

These links could be modified to open in the current window in the next release.

Currently the only thing you can do is open a link in the modal window

I think that would be an excellent solution
