Automatically granting attachment permission after a user has made X posts

Is it possible for attachment permissions to be automatically granted to an existing user after they have made X number of posts?

I can see that in Admin - Ranks it is possible to create a new rank and make it a ladder group. However, there isn't an option to enable / disable attachment permissions. Alternatively, in Admin - Users and Roles - Roles, I can create a new role, but not automatically assign it to an existing user when they have made the required number of posts.

Its not possible with the ranks. At the moment it would be only possible if you wrap the attachments inside a hide-posts bbcode..
